1) What the App does

The App helps you set preferences and receive notifications about U.S. visa appointment availability. You can choose a target embassy/consulate, a visa category/type, and a preferred date range.

2) Information you provide

You may provide information directly in the App, including:

• Account/contact information (example: email address), if you choose to sign in.
• Alert preferences (example: selected embassy/consulate, visa category/type, preferred date range, notification settings).
• Optional profile labels you enter to help organize multiple profiles on your device.
• Optional login credentials you choose to save in the App for convenience (example: username, password, and security question answers). These are stored only on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. You can delete them at any time in the App.

3) Information collected automatically

The App may collect limited information needed to operate reliably and deliver notifications, such as:

• Device and app information (example: device model, OS version, app version, time zone).
• Push notification token required to deliver notifications to your device.
• Basic diagnostics (example: error logs) to help troubleshoot and improve reliability.

4) Server use for alerts

To send availability alerts, the App may send certain information to our servers, including:

• Alert preference data (example: selected embassy/consulate, visa category/type, preferred date range, and notification settings).
• Push notification token so we can deliver notifications to your device.

We use this information to route and send notifications based on the settings you choose.

5) How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide notifications and apply your alert preferences.
• Maintain and improve app reliability and security.
• Provide basic app features such as profile organization and settings.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

6) Sharing

We share information only as needed to operate the App, such as with:

• Push notification providers (example: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging or Apple Push Notification service) to deliver notifications.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect users, prevent fraud/abuse, or enforce our rights.

7) In-app purchases

The App offers optional paid features through Google Play Billing. Payment processing is handled by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information. Your purchase history and subscription status are managed through your Google Play account.

8) Data retention

We keep server-stored data only as long as necessary to provide alerts and operate the App. For example, we retain your alert preferences and device token while alerts are enabled.

You can disable alerts at any time. You can also request deletion of server-stored alert data by contacting us (see Contact below).

9) Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Use a device passcode and keep your device updated.

Important: Do not store sensitive information on shared devices.

10) Your choices and deletion

• You can change your alert preferences at any time in the App.
• You can clear locally stored data in the App (where available) or by uninstalling the App.
• You can request deletion of server-stored alert data by contacting us at the email below.

11) Not an official government app

Visa Appointment Alerts is a third-party tool. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, maintained by, sponsored by, or endorsed by any government entity or any official visa scheduling service.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
